I have studied four languages in my lifetime, well enough to converse with non-English speakers – Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian and German. Actually, my first experience with such conversation was in Romania. I'll get into more details in an upcoming article on this website, but I have come to the conclusion that every budding linguist needs to pass through Hungary sometime in his/her life. I've done it once. What happened on the way, will be the main subject of the article.
